Get Rid of Nits

Head lice, it happens to the best of us. We send our kids to school, and they bring home some cooties. It doesn't matter if your kids are the cleanest people in the world, it can happen to any of us. Below are some facts about head lice, so you know what you are dealing with:

1. They are grayish white in color.

2. The eggs attach to your hair, about a quarter inch away from the head.

3. Eggs hatch in 7 days after being laid, so fast treatment is necessary.

4. They are spotted easiest at the nape of the neck and over your ears in your hair.

5. Head lice do not jump, they crawl.

6. You "catch" head lice, by having head to head or body to body contact with someone who has them.

7. They can not be caught from animals, those are fleas.

8. They will not survive longer than 3 days in your furniture or carpet.

9. All 3 types of lice (nits, nymphs, and adults) can be transferred while being sexually close.

10. Head lice can infest facial hair, and eyebrows.

As it is embarassing enough to experience head lice, you can avoid going to the store to buy treatment shampoos by checking out Vickie's Remedies for getting rid of head lice, it is chemical free, all natural, no embarassment included. Say goodbye to the cooties today.
